Victoria reservoir, Bickley, 1947

Caption: Bickley. Part of Bickley Reservoir. Rode our bikes to a beautiful valley past Bickley Dam, about 17 1/2 miles from Perth. It drizzled rain all day (or most of it) but that didn't worry us. Arrived at "our valley" at 11.30 and all set to work to cook dinner (enough for 16 instead of 6). Built a "gunya" lean to, where we had dinner out of the rain. Went walking in the rain after then came back to camp for afternoon tea - billy tea, and mushrooms (we had gathered fried in butter) on toast - beaut. Arrived home about 7.00 after a beaut day full of fun.
